Looking for a family activity between Christmas and New Year? Bring your happy feet to Dynamic Earth and learn all about the wonderful world of penguins.
Explore the frozen world of Antarctica, find out all about the different types of penguins who live there and how they have adapted to survive in the extreme cold.
Our drop-in activities will run from 10am-4pm. You can make your very own penguin at our creative science table and take it home with you.
These activities are included in the price of a ticket to Dynamic Earth and are free for Annual Explorer Pass Holders.
As part of the Dynamic Earth tour, you'll already have experienced the chill of our Polar Extremes gallery and learned about exploration in freezing conditions, so join us in the Stratosphere to find out more about these fascinating creatures who make Antarctica their home.
From emperors to macaronis, kings to gentoos, these flightless birds are social animals and they spend up to 75% of their lives in the water.
Join us from Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 December, and from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 January and find out lots more.
If you're looking for other activities to keep the kids entertained throughout the winter, check out our Dino's Dynamos children's club, which runs on Saturdays throughout the year, offering a combination of science and craft for kids between 6 and 14. Membership is free and the workshops cost around £1.50 per child.
Find out more on our Dino's Dynamos page.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
