This website allows you to search all the different geological events that are running throughout the month, from lectures to evening walks around your local area, and even day trips to the coast. There are a number of different geology activities, which are divided into age ranges so that you can help educate your children or learn more yourself. Anything you want to know about Scotland's Geology and how it links into our every day life can be found on this website or by a link attached to it.

National Geographic Kids

http://kids.nationalgeographic.co.uk/kids

This website has a number of different things to watch read and do. Kids can watch; a duckling hatch, they can watch interviews with people from all over the world, they can play games or be inspired to create environmentally friendly crafts. The website is very easy to use and fun. It is aimed at children, but there is lots that will interest the child within you.

Earth Calling

www.earthcalling.org

Here is a website and organisation which I feel very passionately towards. Based in Edinburgh, the kids clubs will teach children about their local environment, in a fun hands on way. The website has fun photo galleries that may inspire children to join the clubs or go along to the summer clubs during their long school holidays.

Interested in going along to the summer clubs as a child or volunteer? There is a list of all the different locations visited over the summer period where you can pick what trips you are interested in.
